     My bearded dragon, Annabelle, with all her 'sassiness' worried me a bit on being able to find her a suitable new mommy. I explained that I would require knowledge of dragons before being considered. A college student contacted me and said she had been wanting one forever, in fact, she is currently studying the field of reptiles in school! She knew all the necessary information about the care of dragons and was enthusiastic to say the least to meet her. Since the adoption she has kept me up to date with text and pics of Annabelle and I must say she is one spoiled little dragon now! Not that she wasn't already, but now she has someone to play with all the time. I am so thankful to Rescue Me for connecting us!

     I posted my corn snake on Rescue Me that I had initially rescued about four or five years ago when I found out I was moving. I didn't know where anyone would take a snake. I am really happy I found this site because it all worked out for the snake! I got a few emails of interest over time, but no serious replies back, except one who was meant to be! We worked it out and today we handed our snake over to a local environmentalist who was thrilled to give him a new home. I am glad this is a running site and it has been a huge help!

     I located an iguana on Rescue Me and contacted the owner. Within two days, our iguana (Igor) has been welcomed into the family. He was a little aggressive at first, but after a car ride home and a nice warm, relaxing bath, he's allowed us to pet him and hold him. Thank you for offering a venue for us to rescue/adopt an iguana rather than purchasing one from a box store.

     I needed to find a new home for my tortoise, Clementine. I posted her on this site. I never expected a response, but I got an email from her adopter a couple hours later. After discussing how she would be taken care of, we agreed on a time to meet at her house and her set up was wonderful. I knew that my tort was going to a good home and even had a new tortoise friend to hang out with there! I was relieved to know she was going to a good home Thank you, Rescue Me!

     I adopted Spike (male), although I already had a Spike (female). He is doing well getting to know his new friends, Cira and Spike. Every evening they all hang out together and play (supervised of course because of his health condition and because we don't want babies). His previous parent was upfront about his health issues, provided all his medical records so that I could present them to his new vet. Overall, Rescue Me has been a positive experience.

     Thank you, Rescue Me, for being the bridge between Peja's former and current homes. Peja's caregiver drove over six hours round-trip just to bring her to me! Peja is an angel. She's been with me for two weeks now and has settled in nicely with our other female RES in a secure, outdoor habitat. We sit with them nearly every day and enjoy feeding time, especially. She experienced (what I assumed was) her first ever rain storm last weekend, and it was adorable watching her play in the bubbles that formed on her pond. I adore this girl already and I applaud her previous owner for raising such a healthy, sweet turtle. I am especially grateful that she was responsible and found a new home for Peja, rather than 'setting her free'. She's been treasured for 11 years so far and I shall treasure her forever more! Thank you for finding her for me!

     We did find a new qualified owner for our posted tortoise within just a day or so. Our whole experience using your web site was pleasant. We immediately received calls and all were well meaning and polite individuals, although several were unaware of the kind of environmental needs these kinds of animals require. We did talk with a professional keeper, who satisfied our requirements and who took possession of the animal this afternoon. We spent a few hours getting to know each other and comparing stories and similar experiences handling and managing herptiles. He told me he has used your site many times and has always found it helpful and efficient. We both hope that your website and Rescue Me will continue to be available in the future. I discovered your website after a brief search and found it easy to use, and obviously very productive. My wife, Joan, and I are very grateful that your service was available to us. We have been herp keepers for many years and only recently decided to downsize and find good homes for these often abused creatures. All of the herptiles we have kept and cared for being rescued in some manner, either by ourselves or by local people who know us.

This is her second tortoise. I am a multi tortoise mom. The adoption went smoothly. Because of the distance, we agreed to a meeting in the middle. I was very happy with adopting through Rescue Me and Sabrina the tortoise is now in a very loving home being doted on by her new family!!

     I was very nervous about posting my iguana. Who would be interested? Plus, it was a very hard decision to rehome something you care about, but had become too hard for me to handle at home. I was contacted less than 12 hours by a wonderful couple who has a lot of experience with iguanas and shared a lot of photos of their pets all happy and healthy.      My sweet, little RES, William, was lonely after his big, old friend, Stewart passed away, so I wanted to rehome him. I posted on Rescue Me and, initially, got no response. I was going to take him to a local Water Fowl Rescue where he would wait for someone to come and adopt him. I didn't know how long that would take and wasn't happy with that outcome. So a couple of weeks later, a lovely lady emailed me and said that her female RES was lonely after her box turtle companion was put in another habitat. So, she came with her daughter and fell in love with William and took him home right then. A week later, we got his big habitat drained and cleaned and she came and took it, as it would make a bigger, better home for the two of them than hers. So, he is well and happy, and I am missing him, but so glad he has a home. He and his deceased friend were left with me when my daughter got married and had no room for them. I loved them both, but didn't need the stress of taking care of that huge habitat. I was determined to find him a good home, and thank goodness for Rescue Me made it happen. Thanks so much for your help in rehoming Sweet William!

Only a couple hours after posting on Rescue Me, the local county conservation got back to me to request it for their children's education program. Before I could delete the post someone had already reached out via the website! Wow that was fast. I was able to get it to a good home with the conservation group so that's a happy ending but I would have been just as happy, if not happier, to find this website a week ago!

     I posted my yellow foot tortoise, Squirt, on Rescue Me. I received many responses, but never felt comfortable with any of the people. Some would not answer my many questions, some had no experience with tortoises, and some were flat out rude. I finally got a response from a couple who I immediately knew would be the perfect new parents for Squirt. I even dropped a large amount of the adoption fee, gave them all of my supplies, and drove two and a half hours to transfer her to them. In the end, it cost me money instead of recouping money, but I know she is in good hands, so I feel at peace. This site is wonderful.

     It took about a month, but Lily was rescued in part thanks to Rescue Me! I would like to thank Rescue Me and the rescuer, Dylan! Thank you so much for giving Lily a great new home! I know her life is in good hands now! Thank you Dylan!! I had no idea how I was going to find Lily a new home when I moved. Unfortunately, she could not come with me. I found the site Rescue Me, and posted before I moved. At the time of my move I had to bring Lily to one of my friends until her rescue. Fortunately, Dylan contacted me via Rescue Me! And now Lily is in a good home, and I know she will be happy!! It was easier than I could ever have imagined. Rescue Me gave me a way to let people know that there was a beautiful ball python looking for a new home! Without Rescue Me, I have no idea how things may have gone.      I first saw a post for two turtles on here named Nash and Stitch. They needed a new home. Our state recently banned stores from selling turtles so the owner had been having a difficult time finding someone to adopt the turtles. I was able to get in contact with her, and I went over to her house to get the turtles. I got the turtles and moved them into a much bigger tank which I am decorating for them as well. They both seem very happy. I even let them run around my place from time to time, restricted to laminate areas. They seem to enjoy it, and have actually been more entertaining than I expected. The previous owner was really nice. I'm very happy that Rescue Me exists to help rescue pets. It is sometimes hard for them to find homes. Often times, they cannot, and it does not turn out well for them, especially animals like reptiles and amphibians. I thank the previous owner as well as Rescue Me for the turtles.

I even let them run around my place from time to time, restricted to laminate areas. They seem to enjoy it and have actually been more entertaining than I expected. The previous owner was really nice. I'm very happy that Rescue Me exists to help rescue pets find homes. They often times they cannot find good homes. It does not turn out well for them, especially animals like reptiles and amphibians. I thank the previous owner as well as Rescue Me for the turtles.

     Rescue Me really helped me find someone I knew would care for my snake. Through various circumstances I needed to pass this snake along and asked pet store clerks and friends what I could do. After browsing the internet for some time, I finally found this place to help me in search for a new home in my area, which was perfect. Through Rescue Me, I uploaded a picture and a short description of my situation; the next morning (no more than 12 hours had passed), I was contacted through email and text from this woman in a neighboring city who sounded like an awesome fit and was more than happy to take him in and give him the nurturing he needs.      My son convinced me to get Pierre, a bearded dragon, three years ago, after him taking care of multiple kinds of pets over the years. Unfortunately, Pierre was not as lucky as most, and my son was not taking care of him with the level of stimulation/play/outside time that any pet needs. We could not find an interested friend to adopt Pierre so I posted him on Rescue Me. Within 24 hours of posting Pierre, we got a call from a reptile rescue guy who has a passion for solving these types of situations. We dropped Pierre off a couple of weeks ago, and all was well as we left him running round the lizard room interacting with other bearded dragons in Greg's care.      I love this website! It helps so many unwanted animals find homes! I can't stress enough that these animals are often given a second chance due to Rescue Me! I found my beautiful bearded dragon named Khaleesi on here. I fell in love with her! We spend so much time together and she loves all the attention along with her new home! She is a perfect match to me! She is going to have a great impact on my life. I've loved lizards before, but she really has my heart. I got my iguana (Slasher) off this site and I never thought I'd fall in love like I did, but Slasher has now passed away. His memory lives on and Khaleesi is picking up where he left off. I had a great experience getting to know Khaleesi and that wouldn't be possible without this website.

     My beautiful female iguana was recently adopted to a super great home. She went to a person who drove six hours to come get her. He is a great person who formally adopted a couple other animals like a 300 pound tortoise and another iguana. I miss my iguana a lot, but I know she is in great hands.
